The batch of photographs by Slovenian artist Tadej Zaic attempts to catch a brief moment, where passers-by are exposed to two converse affections: quiet anticipation and repulsed resignation. With a small sculpture, which in its shape all but reminds the viewer of animal excrement, but is covered by the finest beaten gold, Zaic wants to visualize his "merda d´oro" principle: The moment of daily disappointment, and respectively vice versa the reassessment of resignation into amazement at the casual gathering of small and smallest stories.
Tadej Zaic, born in Nova Gorica/HR, 1977 lives and works in Ljubljana/HR. Tadej studied fine-arts at the Academy of Fine Art and Design Ljubljana and New York Academy of Art.
